“… the part can never be well unless the whole is well.” -Plato
I truly believe in the 16 essential elements that contribute to integrated health and wellness. These are my go-to’s for feeling good and enjoying life. I aim to incorporate each into my daily routine to keep me sane in the midst of daily hustle and bustle. These also helped me clear some of the old bad juju and just make me happier all around. I can never predict what is around the corner, but I am always seeking the fun. Because I know that is where I’m suppose to be.
It’s well known that a restful night’s sleep can give you a mental, emotional, and physical boost the next day. Most studies show 7 hours is the preferred duration, but I know many people that need even more than that! Good sleep helps to eliminate stress, repair cells and tissues (anti-aging!), strengthens immune function, improves memory, and regulates metabolism and appetite (win!). So give it a rest, would ya?
Your body is an engine. Give it the best gas you can and it will run beautifully. Super Foods, like berries and dark leafy veggies, are filled with a dense amount of Phytonutrients, the stuff that helps plants grow and ward off disease and toxins. When we consume these foods, those nutrients are then transferred to us. Juicing is an exceptional way to get those phytonutrients into our bodies. It breaks down the foods into an easily absorbable form, and without the need to digest, the body can use it’s energy to repair. Plus, juicing will likely provide more vegetables than a person’s typical daily diet.
Physical movement and endorphin generation is key to good health. Stagnant waters breed bacteria.

Fresh air is good for you. We know this. Charge up those negative ions! Outdoor air is a good source of these beneficial negative ions. And places like the beach and waterfalls are especially good sources. These negative ions are referred to as “nature’s antidepressants” and are found to have a relaxing and healing effect. Techniques such as Earthing, Grounding, or Ecotherapy are becoming more popular due to the profound psychological and physiological effects. Get 30 minutes minimum amongst trees, wildflowers or water and your sleep and mental attitude will greatly improve. Anne Frank said it best, “I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles.”
